Bordentown Railroad Days Nov 12 to 13, 2011

TheĀ  first Bordentown Railroad Days is set to take place on the 180th Anniversary of the first public demonstration runs of the the “John Bull” locomotive which took place in Bordentown New Jersey. It is also the anniversary of the first know train ride by a woman in the United States. This was the start of the first commercially successful railroad in New Jersey and later became part of the Pennsylvania Railroad system.

Bordentown Railroad Days is in nine locations on Farnsworth Avenue and Prince Street in historic Bordentown City New Jersey. It features two running model train exhibits, three art displays, history presentations and a luncheon banquet, anniversary ceremonies and book signing.

Come on out for Bordentown Railroad Days history, arts, running model trains, and historic Bordentown’s food and shopping on Saturday November 12 and Sunday November 13.
